New spa water care system

B.H.Technologies (1998) Ltd. has introduced its new product "SparKlear". The product technology is based on the familiar process of water electrolysis and is aimed at treating portable spas' water while eliminating the need for for the various chemicals currently used for spa water treatment. With SparKlear however, B.H.Technologies was able to provide an electrolysis system that operated on waters natural salt content, thus eliminating the need to add large quantities of salt into the water, as required with other electrolytic systems. This gives B.H.Technologies' product a substantial edge as the salt levels required by other systems (up to 4,000 ppm), not only gives the bathers an unpleasant feeling of bathing in sea water, but it is also corrosive to various parts of the spa's pumps and heaters.

The developers of SparKlear are very enthusiastic about their product. Today most spa owners use chemicals for their spa water care. They are required to monitor daily water oxidizers, to closely watch water pH, to add chemicals according to water needs and according to bather load and with all that, are still faced with problems such as high turbidity of the water, algae forming at different parts of the spa, ugly stains and so force. SparKlear is expected to end all this. The system is provided with an automatic control that, once set up, regulates "water chemistry" without the need for intervention by the spa owner.

SparKlear disinfects spa water and more

The SparKlear system introduced by B.H.Technologies (1998) Ltd. as a system for disinfecting spa water, has proven to be doing more than "just" disinfection device. In addition to generating hypochlorite, ozone and hydrogen peroxide (all of them are known biocides), the system also removes from the water its natural content of calcium, magnesium and other minerals that may be present in the water. In most areas, when activating the spa's jets, water tends to become cloudy with sugar-like turbidity. This turbidity is the result of minerals present in the water. As part of the electrolytic process, while one of the SparKlear electrodes generates oxidizers, the other electrode removes the minerals from the water. After only only a few hours of work, SparKlear's water management results in a clear and distinct improvement in the quality of the water. The water becomes clearer and remains clear even after starting the spa jets.

B.H.Technologies utilized in Agriculture

B.H.Technologies (1998) Ltd. has launched a second product line, called AgroSanitizer, for disinfection of recycled water in agriculture. Farmers that operate detached bed greenhouses, find themselves unable to re-utilize almost half of the water that is used for growing and are forced to dispose of it. Farmers are unhappy about that, as the discharged water still contains useable fertilizers. Additionally, they are wasting a valuable resource, water. Those who have attempted to recycle the drainage water and use it for a second irrigation, have been faced with the risk of destroying their new crops. Drainage water has a higher risk of containing pathogens that once reused, may result in a complete ruin of the entire greenhousees crop. AgroSanitizer is expected to eliminate this risk. The system, once installed, disinfects drainage water to be returned to the greenhouse without effecting water chemistry. That means that the disinfected water still contains the nutrients that the plants have not utilized, and the water (other wise discarded), resulting in a tremendous cost savings for the farmer.
