Q: The green light on my SparKlear control panel indicates that the system is but I cannot detect any free chlorine in the water.

A: Check the SparKlear power supply located inside the spa cabinet. You will see a row of red LED lights on the power supply unit. At least three of the red LED lights should be lit. If there are less than three red LED lights lit, refer to page (XX) in your owner's manual, "Getting started and setting idle time".

Q: My power supply has 3 or more red LED lights lit but the chlorine level in my spa is too low.

A: Increase the run time by two hours on the SparKlear time clock, (refer to page (XX) in your owner's manual, "Getting started and setting idle time"). Let your spa run for three hours and check free chlorine level again. If free chlorine level is still too low, increase the time clock's run time by two more hours.

Q: My spa water feels different after installing my SparKlear system.

A: Along with sanitizing the water, your SparKlear system also softens the water, making it feel much better.

Q: My tap water contain very high levels of lime. How will that effect my spa water?

A: Your SparKlear system counteracts lime to keep your spa water sparkling clear. During the first 30 days after installing your SparKlear system you may notice a small amount of whitish lime form at the bottom of your spa.

There are two ways for treating this:
1. Do nothing and over time your SparKlear system will capture the small amount of lime deposit.
2. Vacuum clean the initial lime deposits and after that your SparKlear system will take care of the lime in your spa water.

Q: How does my SparKlear system effect my spa water pH.

A: Your SparKlear system has almost no effect on your spa water's pH level.. When cleaning your spa's water the SparKlear system generates Hydrogen, as a result, a minor increase in the water's pH level may occur. Minor fluctuations in water pH level are normal and should not be corrected.
